Nintendo Wii U Webcast Highlights

Get ready for the next phase of awesomeness.

Some would have you believe that the Wii U is on course to face an economic disaster due to staggered sales since the console’s debut. Skepticism has been running wide, with thin strands of hope that Nintendo would set things right. This morning, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata did just that, as he revealed some exciting details about the console’s future plans, including the launch lineup, upcoming releases and some additional enhancements to come, setting the stage for the mega-announcements that will be reserved for E3 2013:

“The fun of video games is not only just playing games, but also sharing experiences together with people – even though they live far away, their skill levels are different or their experience does not happen at the same time,” Iwata said. “We want Wii U to be the system that brings everyone together.”
