Square Enix has released a new trailer over the holidays featuring the FFXIII heroine, Lightning, who races to save a world that only has 13 hours before total annihilation. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is an all-new action title that will offer increased levels of player freedom, customization and connectivity with the real world”, according to Director Motomu Toriyama who promises the game will mark an remarkable concluding chapter to Lightning’s story. Composers Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta and Mitsuto Suzuki, who have all worked on the soundtrack for the previous title, FINAL FANTASY XIII-2.
Hamauzu’s track used in the trailer, “Crimson Blitz”, will be made available for download on the iTunes Store on December 23 for $0.99.
