Windows Phone hits 120k apps

Microsoft’s mobile platform hits a milestone as it gradually gains popularity

In June of this year, Microsoft reported that they hit 100,000 apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace. With the launch of the Nokia’s new line of Windows Phone 8 devices, not too long ago, they are now boasting 120,000 apps with 46 of the top iOS and Android applications being available for WP8. There is definitely talk that the Windows Mobile platform has the potential to grab more of the mobile marketshare and possibly overtaking Apple and Android not too far from the future.
