Tecmo Koei Announces Dynasty Warriors 8 Release date.

Killing thousands of people, one general at a time.

For weeks, I've been awaiting for Tecmo Koei to drop a date to toss them some green and today – they answered my call. Dynasty Warriors 8 will make its official console release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 16th, 2013. As with previous titles in the series, the game follows the stories of the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu and Jin through the actions of historical military and political figures of the time as they fight to gain control over the Three Kingdoms of China. But one may ask "Alright, but are they bringing anything new to the table?"

Check this out, they are coming up with a all-new "What if" scenarios, takes a look at what could have happened if famous characters had lived to fight another day. This should make for some very interesting alternate endings (and hope it doesn't seem to have tacked on edits in the movies of previous installments).

They also have a few new character appearances, Yue Jin, Li Dian, Han Dang, Lu Su, Zhang Bao, Jia Chong, and Wen Yang just to name a few. There are also new Musou attacks for some returning characters in the cast and various new features. However, you know I'm a huge fan of trailers so… without further adieu:
