Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy Brigade for North America
In celebration of the franchise's 25th anniversary. Kupo!
Mobile phone users can look forward to some new high-profile entertainment very shortly, thanks to Square Enix. The company confirmed plans to bring Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade, an intuitive social release originally released in Japan will now be localized for the North American market on iOS and Android-supported devices.
Since its touted as a "social game", the concept requires you to interact with multiple players, unlike the conventional single-player RPG quests found on other platforms, such as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Each player rides and airship and can create groups as the apt title implies, known as airborne brigades, used to take down large-scale bosses. In typical RPG fashion, advancement throughout quests will ultimately lead to gaining additional experience points, collecting items and new techniques derived directly from the Final Fantasy series.
Square Enix has created a pre-register campaign as an incentive for gamers eagerly looking forward to download the free app. Early adopters will receive a free three-month exclusive in-game card featuring Cloud, to assist with boss battles throughout the adventure. It leaves us to wonder if additional characters may become available upon meeting certain conditions. We'll try to get dig up some additional details.
